The diameter of your screw is determined by your outboard motor. The propeller diameter is the distance between the imaginary circle that wraps around all the propeller blades.

The Pitch (emergency) is the most important feature of a screw where you can make a choice in. The pitch is in fact ' the curve ' of the propeller blades. The pitch (e.g. 17) stands for the forward distance (number of inches) that would put off a screw at a complete rotation. A larger pitch means more curvature and therefore a higher top speed. A smaller pitch means less curvature and more acceleration. We advise not to much to depart from the pitch which defaults to your outboard motor is mounted, this related to the optimal balance between speed and Acceleration for your block. Significantly not as described if the pitch can eg. make sure that the engine not the optimal speed can achieve. The prescribed pitch you can also be found in the documentation of your outboard motor
